Introducing Raise the Bar with Business Gold: A New Pop-Up in New York City Celebrating American Express’ Refreshed U.S. Business Gold Card

On November 2 and 3, 2023, American Express will host Raise the Bar with Business Gold, an immersive pop-up experience in New York City powered by small businesses for small businesses. Celebrating refreshed Business Gold Card benefits and rewards, the two-day event will take place at 45 Grand Street in Soho, New York City. Small business owners will enjoy bites from Brooklyn hotspot, Bonnie’s, signature cocktails1 and mocktails curated by award-winning Afro-Latina mixologist, LP Drinks, baked goods from Janie’s Life-Changing Baked Goods and florals by Flower Bodega.

The experience will celebrate the launch of the refreshed U.S. Business Gold Card, which now features enhanced ability to earn 4X Membership Rewards points in top business spending categories, enroll in benefits to earn statement credits, and other new business-focused benefits. It also comes with the option for the popular Rose Gold design, which until now was only available to Consumer Gold Card Members. Full details can be found here.

The refreshed U.S. American Express Business Gold Card provides flexible rewards that adapt to business spending, up to $395 back in statement credits annually on eligible purchases at select merchants including FedEx, Grubhub, Office Supply Stores and Walmart+, (enrollment required, terms apply). Raise the Bar with Business Gold will feature small business partners and unique experiences that bring some of the refreshed Business Gold Card benefits to life, including:

  • Local Bites by Bonnie’s – Cantonese American restaurant from Calvin Englocated in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, will provide a taste of Bonnie’s with small bites like shrimp and pork ‘wun tun’ raviolis and Chef Calvin’s take on pigs ina blanket.
  • Curated Drinks from LP Drinks – Founded by LP O’Brien, a highly decorated and award-winning Afro-Latina mixologist, LP Drinks Co. crafted a menu of cocktails and alcohol-free cocktails to dazzle the taste buds ofguests.
  • Florals by Flower Bodega – Founded by Aurea Sanabria Molaei, the New York City-based floral design and content studio will outfit the event space with photo-worthy floral vignettes inspired by the design of the Business Gold Card.
  • Grab & Go Dessert from Grubhub featuring Janie’s Life-Changing Baked Goods - Founded by Janie Deegan, who started her baking journey during her recovery from addiction and homelessness as a young adult, Janie’s Life-Changing Baked Goods which is available on Grubhub will provide a variety of her signature Pie Crust Cookies for guests to enjoy.
  • Smilebooth from Walmart+ – Nothing makes a business owner smile more than unlocking value, just like when you get a statement credit for a Walmart+ Monthly Membership with your Business Gold Card. Guests will be able to capture their best smiles at the Smilebooth from Walmart+.
  • FedEx Rewards Station – Guests will be able to note their top two spending categories at our FedEx rewards station to receive category related premium gifts and accessories. To highlight the new statement credit from FedEx on the Business Gold Card, guests can ship their gift box via FedEx directly home.
  • Golden Cell Phone Protection – Guests can protect their cell phones in style with customizable gold leaf phone cases, to highlight the new cell phone protection feature on the Business Gold Card
