Regular Radio Listeners Tune Out Satellite Radio
WILTON, Conn. - According to Greenfield Online Fact of the Week survey of approximately 1,000 Internet respondents, 71% of total respondents listened to regular radio during the past week vs. 15% of total respondents who listened to satellite radio. According to the survey, regular radio was the most popular media among all survey respondents, and all age groups. 
The survey asked respondents which forms of media they had read, watched or participated in during the past week, respondents were able to choose more than one answer. Out of approximately 1,000 respondents in North America, respondents indicated they had done the following during the past week: 
71% listened to regular radio 
15% listened to satellite radio 
65% read a newspaper 
52% read a magazine 
59% watched cable television 
43% watched basic television 
28% watched satellite television 
38% watched a rented movie at home 
17% went to the movie theatre to watch a movie
