Mastercard and Jennifer Hudson team to turn everyday purchases into support for Stand Up To Cancer

New campaign encourages consumers to come together and support cutting-edge cancer research through everyday dining and grocery purchases

Mastercard is continuing its longstanding support of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) with new campaign that drives donations for cutting-edge cancer research through dining and grocery purchases. Alongside EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson, who initially partnered with Mastercard in 2021 for its Strivers Initiative, Mastercard is encouraging consumers to give back by coming together over shared dining experiences, because each individual contribution can lead towards a powerful impact.

From May 22nd through July 15th, Mastercard will donate one cent up to $5 million to Stand Up To Cancer when cardholders tap or order online with a Mastercard at qualifying restaurants and grocery stores.*

Through an over 10-year collaboration, Mastercard has donated more than $65 million to Stand Up To Cancer, impacting countless people and supporting Stand Up To Cancerís mission to get new therapies to patients to help save lives.

In addition to giving cardholders a simple way to join Mastercardís mission through dining and grocery purchases, the 2023 holistic campaign includes new advertising, marketing engagements and live experiences to Mastercard cardholders.

  • In Mastercardís new commercial, which premieres May 22 and will run on national broadcast television and streaming platforms, Jennifer Hudson appears and demonstrates what we instinctively know: as individuals we are powerful, but never as powerful as we are when we come together. Whether eating out or cooking in their own kitchen, Mastercard is giving cardholders an easy way to come together and make individual actions that have an impact in cutting-edge cancer research.
