One of many excellent books that will be displayed at the 2023 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is Dr. Eli Tabariai’s “Like A Surgeon: A Surgeon’s Guide To The Top 1000 Songs Of The 1980s,” a book that will delight music lovers. The book will highlight the beauty of literature, arts, and culture and bring together the finest books and activities for fairgoers.

Music was embracing the time of delight and fun. America was mesmerized by entertainment in all its forms; vivid colors and self-expression were popular, especially during the 80s when big flashy hair and heavy synthesizer in songs were normal. The decade has passed, yet its magic continues to sparkle today, stretching music lovers’ imaginations.

“Like A Surgeon” contains Dr. Eli Tabariai’s exploration of the music of the 1980s. It includes an intricate ranking of the songs released in the 1980s and why they are ranked the way they are. A critical element of 80s’ music became the visual aspects of the song’s promotional video. As such, Dr. Eli’s book also contains graphic illustrations representing some of the song titles. Dr. Eli also provided his top 1000 songs and 100 songs that are honorary mentions.

Interested readers of Dr. Eli Tabariai’s “Like A Surgeon: A Surgeon’s Guide To The Top 1000 Songs Of The 1980s” may grab a copy on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Author
Dr. Eli Tabariai is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. His career has involved both a duality of science and art. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles as an undergraduate before studying at The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he received his dental degree. After a six-year hospital residency in Fresno, CA, he achieved his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialty.

Dr. Tabariai wanted to explore his artistic abilities before starting his practice in Los Angeles, California. It prompted him to venture into filmmaking, where he has written and produced a feature film and two short movies.

Despite continuing his practice in oral surgery, he found the time to navigate the top and the not-so-popular songs of each year of the 1980s. He continued to practice oral surgery, but he still had time to explore the most popular and least popular songs from each 1980s year. What has come out of this passion is his book “Like A Surgeon: A Surgeon’s Guide To The Top 1000 Songs Of The 1980s.”
