Austin had never pictured himself writing a book, let alone this book, which was his mother Kimberly’s idea. He had never tried writing a book and had no idea where to begin. He said, “As intimidating as it seemed, I knew between both of us that we had a story worth telling, not only the overwhelming amount of paranormal activity we have encountered our entire loves, but our life story is one that I strongly believed the vast majority of people could relate to even if the paranormal is not something you believe in.”

The “Fight of My Life: My Battle with the Paranormal,” Austin said, is based on true events in his and Kimberly’s lives. It reveals the dynamics of a family riddled with abuse, addiction, and paranormal activity. Things continue to worsen as the family learns to tolerate the frequent paranormal activity in their already trouble household. However, as years go by, they learn that their battle is with a demonic presence that refuses to leave them alone.

Austin said, “Certain parts of this book were difficult to write about and put out there for the world to read, but they are important topics.

“We hope that it gives people (the) strength to continue pushing forward one day at a time to overcome whatever battles may be plaguing them.”
