NYLA 2022 Annual Conference and ReadersMagnet Book Confab Presented Clifford Schauer’s Book

The fascinating children’s book “Suzy and the Bug” by Clifford Schauer was gracefully displayed by ReadersMagnet at the New York Library Association 2022 Annual Conference and Trade Show on November 3–4, 2022, at the Saratoga Springs City Center at 522 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, and the ReadersMagnet Book Confab on October 28–30, 2022, at 72 Warren St., Tribeca, New York.

“Suzy and the Bug” is about a girl named Aryanna (or “Bug,” as her parents nicknamed her) and her cat Suzy. They take their copy of “The Wizard of Oz” to the park one day. It’s only when they go to sleep that they realize they’ve been whisked away to the Land of Oz.

As the two go closer to the Emerald City, they meet the Lion, Tin Woodsman, and Scarecrow, who inform them that Oz is in the middle of dark and hazardous times.
Suzy and the Bug must explore the cave of shadows, the terrifying swamp, and the haunted woodland in search of the truth and a way to prevent the destruction of the city.

Clifford Schauer was in the Navy for three years. After being discharged, he joined the fire department. He was a firefighter for 36 years. After retiring from the fire department, he decided to take up writing. He has written this great story about the adventures of an eight-year-old girl nicknamed Bug and her cat Suzy.
