Scout Ventures Welcomes Cody Huggins and Taylor Craig as Principal and Associate

Scout Ventures, an Austin-based venture capital firm, is excited to announce that Cody Huggins has joined the firm as a Principal and Taylor Craig as an Associate in the Austin office.

Cody brings a wealth of experience in both operations and finance to Scout Ventures. He comes to us from a venture studio in Austin, where he managed the technology vertical of the business, composed of 10 startups in InsureTech, FinTech, Web3, and PropTech. Prior to this experience, Cody was the Treasurer at FTC Solar, where he co-led their $258M initial public offering (IPO) and established a $100M revolving credit facility. With a background in operations and program management, Cody will be a valuable asset to our team as we continue to scale and grow. Cody holds a BS in Business Management from West Point and served six years as an Infantry Officer, with his last assignment as a Ranger Instructor.

Taylor joins Scout Ventures with a strong background in finance and corporate treasury. She is a 2023 MBA candidate at the McCombs School of Business, where she concentrated in Finance and worked as an Investment Analyst and Lodge Innovation Scholar at the Texas Innovation Center, providing go-to-market strategy, financial analysis, and marketing development for 30+ startup companies founded by UT faculty and graduate students. She also worked as an Associate for The Fund Austin, a local venture firm that focuses on forming a community of founders and operators who care deeply about the next generation of local entrepreneurs. Taylor holds a BA in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin.
