Dr. Sarah ShaBazz-Ugwumba’s “So Many More Books” book exhibition was successful as crowds gathered around to see up-close the charmingly illustrated book about reading at the New York Library Association (NYLA) 2022 Annual Conference & Trade Show. Self-publishing company ReadersMagnet sponsored the book display, showcasing the children’s book alongside other prominent published works.
The NYLA, organized by the New York chapter of the American Library Association (ALA), advocates the advancement of New York’s library community. Held last November 3-4, 2022, at the Saratoga Springs City Center, New York, NYLA 2022 generated a massive crowd comprised of librarians, academes, trustees, writers, readers, and the general public, tagging the event as the largest conference for the library community in the East Coast.

Author Dr. Sarah ShaBazz-Ugwumba is a professional educator with teaching credentials in both general and special education and has vast experience teaching from kindergarten through college. She received her Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Special Education from Walden University in January 2019 and a dissertation entitled “Teachers’ Perception of Common Core State Standards on Students with Learning Disabilities.”
A founder of a mobile tutoring company that provides educational assistance to students of all ages, the author is also a civic leader actively working in community programs. She is the biological mother of eleven children, six sons and five daughters, and a grandmother to 18 grandchildren who calls her “Grammie.” Dr. ShaBazz has authored five children’s books and two educational guides.
