Disney Advertising and ACC Partners Produce Engaging Experience for 2022 ACC Football FanFest+


On Saturday, Dec. 3, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) football powerhouses No. 9 Clemson and No. 23 North Carolina will battle it out on the gridiron for the ACC title, and Disney Advertising has collaborated with official ACC partners to curate a unique championship weekend experience for fans in Charlotte, NC.

“The end of the college football season is always such a celebratory time and we’re extremely proud of Disney’s ability to integrate brands into the action,” said Theresa Palmieri, Vice President, Disney Advertising Sports Brand Solutions. “The ACC Football FanFest provides the opportunity for our ACC partners to have a personal touchpoint with college football fans and purposefully engage with their consumers.”

This year’s ACC Football FanFest is back in a big way and will take place Friday, Dec. 2 through the main event on Dec. 3 at Romare Bearden Park in Uptown Charlotte. Last year, more than 12,000 fans were in attendance and the numbers are expected to climb even higher this time. The event will feature familiar fan-friendly activities including food trucks, a beer garden, tailgate games, a DJ, a Battle of the Bands competition and so much more.

Brands including Bojangles, Food Lion, New York Life, and Subway will have a huge presence throughout the weekend. Fans who download the official Bojangles App will be eligible for a chance to win Bojangles gift cards throughout the weekend. Additionally, the brand will sponsor various interactive activities including biscuit sampling, a vertical leap for fans to test their athleticism, and a traveling tailgate tent. There will also be a Bojangles-themed Jeep Renegade on-site for fan photo opportunities.

Food Lion recently renewed its position as the Official Grocer of the ACC for another three-year term through 2025 continuing its tenure as the longest-running official corporate sponsor of the league. The brand will sponsor several on-site interactive activities, including a quarterback challenge, plinko and a 360-cam photo opportunity. The grocery distributor will also sponsor a Food Lion Fresh Produce Stand where fans can sample fresh produce.

While at the event, fans won’t have to worry about missing any college football action. New York Life will have a branded presence on all the LED television screens, streaming various conference championship games throughout the day. The brand will also sponsor face painters, several unique photo opportunities, and a tented table for New York Life agent recruitment efforts.

The main stage, which will house a set for ACC Network’s on-site signature studio programming and ACC Chalk Talk will be brought to fans by Subway. Additionally, the restaurant will be the presenting sponsor of all studio shows recorded both inside the stadium and on the main stage throughout the weekend. The brand will also make a special appearance as ACCN personalities will receive a delicious sub delivery on set during the ACC Huddle ahead of the championship game Saturday along with a host of feature integrations visible in programming over the weekend.
