Double the Honors at the AAF Mosaic Awards

VMLY&R is proud to have been honored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) in two categories at the organization’s 2022 Mosaic Awards.

“The Reality Flag” for the Human Rights Campaign by VMLY&R, in partnership with WPP agencies The Corner Shop, Hogarth, BCW and Wavemaker, has been selected as the winner of the Allyship to Advocacy campaign category.This category recognizes an individual, company, or organization for projects that gives voice to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and/or people with disabilities. Their work increases viewers’ perceptions and understanding of historically underrepresented communities.

Walter Geer III,chief experience design officer at VMLY&R HEALTH, has been awarded Mosaic Champion. This category recognizes a professional that has been continuously supportive of and goes above and beyond diversity, equity, & inclusion within the industry. This individual has demonstrated unwavering belief in this cause through mentorship, leadership, support of DE&I initiatives, and by implementing cutting-edge strategies & approaches for addressing diversity issues, among other acts.

The AAF’s Mosaic Awards honors companies and individuals who embody the Mosaic Principles — an action-oriented roadmap to create a more inclusive industry. Mosaic Award recipients display their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through creative work, advocacy, and company-wide initiatives.

Winners will be celebrated at an awards ceremony on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 in New York.
