Paul Anthony Minger shares new poems in forthcoming second poetry book “Poetry Through The Years: Blood, Sweat and Years”

Since the publication of his first poetry book in 2014, Paul Anthony Minger has accumulated enough material, i.e., experiences for a second book. And he has not only poems but also songs and short stories to share in his forthcoming sophomore publishing effort Poetry Through The Years: Blood, Sweat, and Years.
 
“Finally, my second book is here,” said Minger. “Honestly I thought it would be more “Years” before I published but between the time of the first book (Poetry Through the Years: Tears, Wishes, and Dreams) getting published and this book.
 
“I was inspired through the ups and downs in my life so much that many of the poems and stories tend to write themselves and before I knew it I had enough material for this book.”
 
Published and soon to be launched by ReadersMagnet, Poetry Through The Years: Blood, Sweat and Years includes poems about humor, dedications, politics, religion, love, and love for country. Minger said, “It’s about life and death along with trying to figure out everything in between. It’s about love and loss along with trying to figure out what might have been if I would have done things differently.”
 
The author wants the second Poetry Through The Years book to be something more than its predecessor, so he includes songs and short stories. The poems are still the main focus, but he wants to add a little bit more to the book to make it more about his first love: his family. Just like the first book, the second book is a lot like the author’s biography but with more to offer to readers. 

“For starters, this is a poetry book. Though it is in the genre of poetry, it also dubs as a book of short, easy-to-read, stories. A biography of my own life with some comical humor with some interactions between me and my own kids when they were younger.
 
“This book, unlike the first, includes songs that I’ve written and some which were sent off to be recorded by Paramount Creative Studios and others that I’ve written that hasn’t been seen at all.”

Poetry Through The Years: Blood, Sweat, and Years will be a delight to readers who read and praised his first book. It seems that they could expect more heartfelt poems (and stories) from Paul Anthony Minger.

Born in Weirton West Virginia, I lived up and down the Northern Panhandle, Chester, Coburn, New Martinsville, and back to Weirton. I enlisted into the Army Reserve in July ’93 and then served on active duty from June 97-’00.  After 9-11, I reenlisted back into the Army Reserve and served until I retired in January ’16 with 3 deployments, once to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan. I worked offshore drilling from June ’00-March ’17 with Global Marines/Global Santa Fe/Transocean. I am happily married to my beautiful wife on March 29, 2020, and currently living in Pennsylvania with our children.
