Winner Takes in NASCAR at Talladega, Then Kentucky Derby

ATLANTA, Feb. 24, 2007 - UPS (NYSE:UPS) today announced a special sweepstakes program that combines the speed of UPS, NASCAR and the Kentucky Derby.

The “Off to the Races Delivered by UPS” sweepstakes will be held Feb. 24 through April 4 to award one lucky winner and a guest a trip to the April 29 NASCAR Nextel Cup race in Talladega, Ala. In addition to watching the race on NASCAR’s biggest high-banked oval, the winner will enjoy a special behind-the-scenes meeting with Dale Jarrett, driver of the #44 UPS Toyota Camry.

The following week, it’s “Off to the Races” again for the sweepstakes winner, who will travel to Churchill Downs in Louisville for the running of the Kentucky Derby on May 5.

“The Kentucky Derby is one of the most exclusive sporting events in all of sports and we are thrilled to have a relationship with such a prestigious event and an organization such as Churchill Downs,” said Patrick Guilbert, UPS vice president of sponsorships. “This sweepstakes ties together our relationships with these two great sports to the benefit of our fans.”

“It will be great fun for me to be associated with the Kentucky Derby, one of the great sporting events in the world,” added Jarrett, whose Camry will sport a special paint scheme at Talladega to commemorate the 133rd running of the Kentucky Derby. “I think it’s also going to be a thrill for the lucky winner to witness first-hand extremes in horse power.”

UPS, NASCAR’s “Official Delivery Company” since 2000, embarked on a relationship with the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) and Churchill Downs in 2006. Like its successful partnership with NASCAR, UPS leverages the relationship to strengthen business opportunities and promote its international portfolio of services to potential customers.

“Churchill Downs is honored to have the 133rd Kentucky Derby featured on the UPS #44 Toyota Camry that Dale Jarrett will race on April 29,” said Churchill Downs President and CEO Bob Evans. “This program is an example of how Churchill Downs can work with our sponsorship partners to build innovative programs that extend their brand’s visibility and, at the same time, strengthen the sport of thoroughbred racing.”

The “Off to the Races Delivered by UPS” sweepstakes begins Feb. 24 and runs through April 4. The sweepstakes can be entered by visiting either the UPS Racing web site, racing.ups.com; kyderby.com, or churchilldowns.com.
