Nearpod Deepens Partnership With Google Classroom, Further Streamlining Access to Both Products for Teachers and Students

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – WEBWIRE

Nearpod, the leading instructional platform that gives teachers real-time insights into student learning, today announces it is expanding its partnership with Google by deepening its integration with Google Classroom. This first-of-its-kind integration for Google Classroom will improve the workflow for educators and students alike, and will be available in the coming months.

As an official launch partner for Google Classroom add-ons, Nearpod is committed to creating a seamless experience for the more than 150 million students, educators, and school leaders worldwide that relied on Google Classroom to teach and learn last year. This enhanced integration increases functionality and saves educators’ time by allowing them to assign lessons and review reports directly within Google Classroom. Students can also access Nearpod lessons within Google Classroom as well.

“We strive to prioritize partnerships that free up our users’ valuable time and improve the overall usability of Nearpod. This expansion with Google will not only save our teachers time in lesson creation and delivery but also allow for an uninterrupted experience for students joining lessons through Google Classroom,” shared Pep Carerra, CEO of Nearpod. “Our educators love using both products together to bring engagement and flexibility into their classroom, and we look forward to seeing what they create with this expanded partnership.”

Nearpod, a Google for Education Partner, has historically partnered with Google to improve the cross-functionality of its products. Existing integrations include the Google Slides add-on for authoring lessons, Google Single Sign-on, Google Drive, Google Images, and YouTube. In the past 12 months alone, students have joined Nearpod lessons from Google Classroom 60 million times resulting in 265 million insights into student learning.

In the coming months, the Google Classroom Add-on will roll out for Nearpod users. Once available, teachers can download the add-on or administrators can make the add-on available for an entire school or district. Educators who use Google Classroom can learn more about Nearpod by visiting nearpod.com.
