Nearpod Selected as a Google for Education Premier Partner

Nearpod, the comprehensive Student Engagement Platform for K-12 teachers, today announces its selection as a Google for Education Premier Partner for its achievements as a high-performance complement to Google Classroom. Nearpod allows educators the ability to create interactive lessons that combine resources from tools such as Google Slides or Google Drive, multimedia such as YouTube videos or GIFs, and formative assessments, as well as the ability to swiftly assign and share lessons with students through Google Classroom.

This partnership follows on the heels of Nearpod’s recent launch of the Google Classroom integration through a Google Chrome extension which enables teachers to easily access the Nearpod library and assign lessons directly within Google Classroom. With this integration, teachers can now share Nearpod lessons with students, who can instantly join the lessons from their Google Classroom interface.

Moreover, Nearpod also has a number of other Google integrations including Google Single Sign-on for many platforms, and access to Google Drive and Google Images, in addition to the Nearpod Android app in the Google Play Store. Teachers also have the ability to add YouTube videos to a lesson and broadcast them directly to student devices, as well as the ability for students to save class notes to Google Drive — with more integrations to come.

To showcase the addition of Nearpod to its Education Premier Partner Program, Google will host Nearpod at their stand at ISTE 2019 in Philadelphia, June 23-25.
