Two and a half years after a mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, left 17 people dead, Manny and Patricia Oliver—parents of Joaquin Oliver, who was murdered that day—continue to push for a more peaceful future. Change the Ref is organisation dedicated to raising awareness about mass shootings in order to reduce the influence of the NRA on the Federal level.  Their campaign ‘Cut Out The Bullshit’ by MullenLowe U.S. sent a powerful message by purchasing cardboard cutouts at ballparks across the country to highlight victims of gun violence.

MullenLowe MENA – Best Viral PR Campaign 2021 category for their ‘World’s Tallest Donation Box’ campaign for The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), in collaboration with Burj Khalifa, launched the World’s Tallest Donation Box. The first-of-its-kind creative initiative put the iconic skyscraper’s 1.2 million lights up for sale to raise funds and provide meals for coronavirus-hit communities during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative, produced in collaboration with MullenLowe MENA, enabled charitable organisations, companies and the general public to purchase lights, for as little as USD 3 each, to provide vital food aid for low-income individuals and families across the UAE.
