Cambridge, MA, January 24, 2007– Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (Nasdaq: VRTX) today announced that it will webcast its corporate presentation at the Wachovia Securities Small and Mid-Cap Healthcare Conference. The presentation will be delivered by John Alam, M.D., Vertex’s Executive Vice President, Medicines Development and Chief Medical Officer, on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. EST.
