About the Author
Matthew Caputo was born on Long Island, New York in 1980. For the past several years, he has lived in the suburbs of Houston, Texas with his husband, Tim, and their four cats and dog. Matt has a doctorate in Mathematics Education from Columbia University and has been teaching, at both the high school and college levels for the past twenty years. Aside from his teaching, Matt is actively involved in the LGBTQ community and volunteers as a mentor to young people.  In addition to writing and publishing three novels, Matt has published an article in the Journal of Urban Mathematics Education concerning the benefits of reading and writing in the mathematics curriculum.  Throughout his life, Matt has always written as a hobby and was very proud when his first books were published.
