To assemble the 2019 TIME Best Inventions list, organizers solicited nominations across a variety of categories from editors and correspondents worldwide. Each contender was evaluated on factors such as originality, effectiveness, ambition and influence. The result: 100 groundbreaking inventions changing the way we live, work, play and think about what’s possible.

Since launching out of stealth in December 2018, Firefly has powered the next generation of advertising technology inspired by the value of community-centric effort.
