Company Ranked #23 in Corporate Giving By Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal

SUNNYVALE, Calif., December 13, 2006 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal has recognized the company for its outstanding corporate philanthropy efforts and its contributions to the community. Through the efforts of the Juniper Networks Foundation Fund (JNFF), as well as the company’s Corporate Giving and Matching Gift programs, Juniper Networks was ranked #23 in the Business Journal’s list of the Top 35 Corporate Philanthropists in Silicon Valley.

“The common goal that unites our efforts around the world is building lasting positive change in the communities where our employees, customers and partners work and live,” said Steven Rice, executive director of the Juniper Foundation. “We have only scratched the surface of what is possible, and as we enter 2007, we look forward to working with our local communities and partners to continue our philanthropic programs.”

JNFF is a means for meeting Juniper Networks’ philanthropic goals and maximizing the impact of the company’s charitable contributions. JNFF was established in May 2000 as a charitable fund with the Community Foundation of Silicon Valley (CFSV), a nonprofit organization that specializes in philanthropy and charitable giving. The purpose of the JNFF is to share the company’s success and resources with the communities served by Juniper Networks employees, partners and customers. JNFF is committed to supporting organizations that improve the quality of education, enhance academic performance, and educate teachers and students in the uses of technology. The fund consists of assets donated to the CFSV by Juniper Networks and its employees.

In addition to the foundation, Juniper Networks has successful Corporate Giving and Matching Gift programs. Juniper’s Corporate Giving program sponsors local community needs such as food banks, children’s holiday giving, and health and human services. By supplementing employees’ personal giving to eligible organizations through the Matching Gift program, Juniper Networks believes it increases the impact of employees’ personal charitable contributions to local, national and international organizations and encourages active involvement in bettering the quality of life their community.
