Shell Technology Webcast – Tuesday 12 December
08/12/2006

On Tuesday 12th December Shell is holding a webcast on the subject: “Technology Applications in Well Engineering” featuring Wim de Vries, Programme Manager Well Engineering Research. A question and answer session will follow an introductory presentation.

Technology Applications in Well Engineering is the third in a series of technical webcasts profiling Shell technologies that are helping to address the energy challenge. These webcasts are designed to share technical information to help media understand some of the dynamics shaping the energy industry ‘from well to wheel’.

The presentation will explain two leading Shell technologies that are allowing well engineers to drill deeper and reduce the possibility of well blowouts whilst lowering waste resulting in increased production levels and environmental and cost benefits.

Without these technologies projects as high profile as the Gulf of Mexico would not have been completed whilst millions of dollars per year are being saved and reinvested into securing the addressing the energy challenge.

If this is of interest, please rsvp by Monday 12 December 12.00 noon CET to RSVPShell@bm.com and include your name, media organisation and contact phone number. We will confirm your attendance and provide you with access details for the webcast. Slides used during the webcast will be available after the event, together with a transcript of the session.
