Perhaps, even in this day and age, far eastern Asia remains mysterious and elusive beyond the typical colonialism-derived “Oriental” – of flying, martial arts in resplendent costumes and richly-braided hair. Perhaps even, romantic is never a charm to describe this corner of the world rich with history and rife with cultural revolutions.

In perhaps an answer to address this minor, but significant shift of understanding, Tuan Ngo has written a book, full of romance and love in all shades, calling it “Forever my Love.“

”Forever my Love” is described to be lyrical poems. It is a personal work born out of passion and the innate sense of duty to share, educate, and inform the world of the myriad of emotions that the population of far eastern Asia indulges in.

Loyalty in love is the emphasis that Tuan Ngo highlights in his feelings-frenzy poems. Loyalty requires patience, and patience is key to love. Loyalty, most especially, seals fidelity, and here the author is most arduous in his words to describe, to pose, to ponder.

Next, he entertains about the concept of filial duty, that almost-always-misunderstood and eschewed interpretation of the love and relationship of children to their parents. He is sensitive to the perception of this unique feature in Asian families, and he treads ever carefully, avoiding self-righteousness, sticking to illustrating faces, seen and unseen.

Tuan Ngo highly recommends that schools adopt into their curriculum the concepts explored in his poetry – noting most worth on the inequality of love for the woman, in a far eastern Asian view. He is always churning creativity in his time – as a medical doctor specializing in Nephrology, in writing poems, and in drawing the desires of his artistry.
