Logic PD Earns Sundance Family Foundation Community Champion Award

Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Design & Engineering company Logic PD’s MAI Apprenticeship program was recognized by the Sundance Family Foundation as a Community Champion for its achievement in creating an exceptional developmental pathway for its employees at an awards ceremony on May 29^th at Target Center in Minneapolis. Logic PD’s program received the special distinction of Community Champion for providing a route for its employees to receive the training for their certification while holding a full-time position. Sundance Family Foundation refers to this type of program as an “Earn and Learn” program.

While Sar and apprentice Tuan Vu were the primary representatives for Logic PD, several additional Logic PD apprentices were also awarded individually with Certificates of Honor for their extraordinary work product and progress toward accelerating their careers through the program. In total, 78 apprentices and their employers were recognized at the ceremony.

“The mission of the Sundance Family Foundation is to support youth development and strengthen family stability.” Their support of apprenticeship programs like the one at Logic PD is an example of their mission to provide the resources and pathways for individuals to contribute to stronger families and communities.

Logic PD’s apprenticeship program recently reached its one-year anniversary and continues to grow. The first class of apprentices have now reached 1,000 hours of training, half the required hours for their certifications. The program is focused on training solderers and machine operators in its electronics manufacturing location in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
