“This team here is efficient, professional, they look great. In fact, they look better than any other publishing company out here. Absolutely.” – Tommy Seay Sr., on ReadersMagnet

ReadersMagnet achieved another milestone last April by taking part in the largest book festival in the country. This was the first time that the self-publishing company attended the event as one of its exhibitors.

Despite being a first-time exhibitor, ReadersMagnet held its own and successfully mounted a two-day book display as well as a book-signing event that drew attention among the crowds at the University of Southern California. The weekend festival also saw a gathering of some of the nation’s promising independent authors and book fair veterans.

Sharing Stories with the World

Authors and book lovers alike filled the ReadersMagnet booth during the two-day book exhibit. With 163 books on display, booth 201 looked like the place to be. The booth displayed both ReadersMagnet and non-ReadersMagnet published books from different book genres. Majority of these titles already participated in national and international book fairs in the previous years, most notably the 35th Miami Book Fair International held in November last year at Miami Dade College, in downtown Miami.

The ReadersMagnet staff were all hands on deck entertaining visitors and authors alike. They also gave away freebies such as bookmarks, business cards and free copies of some of the featured books. Overall, Readersmagnet gave away more than 1,000 copies to booth visitors.

A gathering of authors and friends.

ReadersMagnet’s participation in the recently held LA Times Festival of Books also became a venue for authors both tradionally-published and those published by ReadersMagnet to gather and share light moments together.

Day One featured authors Allan Hall, Louise Andrea Dube, Walter Madenford and his wife. Authors Diane Davies, Ingrin Kern, Dana Hayne, Rose B. , and Lyda Greico. Even authors not scheduled for the book signing also showed up.

Day Two visitors were mostly children and students accompanied by their parents.

Author and missionary Dr. Byron Conner (The Face of Hunger) came to the booth along with his wife. Children’s book author Gabriella Eva Nagy, Esther Joseph (Memories of Hell, Visions of Heaven), Dale Olansky (Fear to Faith), Donna Bevan-Lee (Iron Legacy: Childhood Trauma and Adult Transformation), Robert D. Easton (Sailing Around the World in 300 Days), and Evelyn Cole (The Underbelly) had a great time taking turns signing copies for book fans and visitors.

Indeed, the ReadersMagnet booth was among the liveliest spots along Trousdale Parkway. It happened because of the growing family of ReadersMagnet authors, publishing consultants, and staff. Come 2020, ReadersMagnet hopes to invite more authors and duplicate the success it has achieve this year.
