Dr. Shinitzky has worked with Olympians (figure skating, diving, sailing, biathlon) and professional athletes from every major association (PGA, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, WTA) as well as nationally ranked junior athletes. He is a highly sought-after motivational speaker for teams at all levels and applies his upbeat, engaging, and entertaining presentation style when sharing mental conditioning steps and prevention principles to athletes, teams and coaches. He is a consulting Sport Psychologist for Athlete Connections Foundation, an educational life skills training program helping youth athletes, Division I university athletes and professionals.

Dr. Shinitzky has shared his insights on the NBC Today Show, MSNBC Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, Animal Planet’s Fatal Attractions, Discovery ID, Radio Disney, ABC-Baltimore (Fast Forward) and ABC-Tampa (ABC’s of Parenting), and FOX-Tampa (Your Turn, Good Day Tampa Bay).

Dr. Shinitzky is a licensed psychologist with a specialty in sport psychology. He was on the faculty at the Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Adolescent Clinic where he was the Director of the Assessment Intervention Team/Prevention Services and the Director of Communication Skills Training. He completed two 3-year fellowships while on faculty.

Dr. Shinitzky was the recipient of the 2015 Florida Psychological Association (FPA) Outstanding Contributions to Psychology in the Public Interest, the recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Contributions to FPA Award, the recipient of the 2009 FPA Distinguished Psychologist Award, and the 2009 FPA Outstanding Contributions to Psychology in the Public Interest. He was selected as the 2000 Martin Luther King, Jr. National Award for Community Service.
