Rediscovering the Ultimate Good in Christianity

Richard Cheatham’s take on rational and humane enlightenment

Dr. Richard Cheatham brings with him a dawn of rational and human enlightenment on the upcoming 2018 Frankfurt Book Fair—on display from October 10-14, 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany. His book, Rediscovering Christianity: A Faith for the 21st Century, is not for those who find contentment with their faith as it is proclaimed and practiced. It is for those who seek greater depth and understanding.

As the years progressed, institutions like churches created doctrines that have polluted the Christian faith, and believers submit to these proclaimed doctrines. Instead of being beneficial, the doctrines only prove destructive to the spiritual growth.

Don’t miss the chance to attend the fair and rediscover the root of Christian faith through Dr. Richard Cheatham’s profound book of enlightenment, Rediscovering Christianity: A Faith for the 21st Century.

About the Author
Dr. Cheatham was born in Detroit, Michigan where his family owned a boat store. He attended Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri for high school and junior college. The ordained ministry was a later incarnation for him.

His early “incarnations” ranged from a young jazz musician wannabe, to an artillery officer who served in Korea, to a partner in a boat leasing business. His entrance into the ordained ministry came quite unexpectedly when he was thirty. He received an irresistible, mystical call that caused him to sell his home, dissolve a partnership and return to acquire the intellectual tools that would prepare him for his new profession.

He went to Garrett Theological Seminary for his graduate degrees. Later, he did post-graduate work at the Jungian Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. On his way to a doctorate of Sacred Theology he was given practically every academic scholarship the seminary and national church offered, including the National Preaching Fellowship of the Methodist Church. Along the way, he joined Mensa as a means for keeping his mind honed. However, his passion burns brightest when he has a clarinet in hand and a jazz pianist nearby.
