GIGABYTE Communications Celebrates International Product Design Excellence with G-Mark

Taiwan, October 31, 2006- GIGABYTE Communications today announced its award-winning phone, the GSmart i. In recognition of international product design excellence, GSmart i is honored by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization (JIDPO) and is accredited by the “Good Design Award 2006,” or the so-called “G-Mark.”

The “Good Design Award 2006” has received 2,918 items for “Product Design Categories”, “Architecture and Environment Design Categories”, “Communication Design Categories”, and “New Territory Design Categories” from April 26 to June 7, 2006. Toshiyuki Kita, Manabu Akaike, Kiyoyuki Okuyama, and the remaining 70 council members judged the 2,918 nominees and accredited 1,034 G-Mark items. Among these, GSmart i is honored to be accredited by the Good Design Award 2006.
