● Suntory’s Health and Productivity Management
The Suntory Group started health and productivity management in 2016, and is strongly promoting it with the view that the source of its competitiveness as a company lies in the health (mental and physical) and dynamism of its employees.

We promote health in various ways through our lifestyle diseases prevention initiative, entitled “Suntory Health Challenge,” such as walking, health camps, various types of seminars, and Health Mileage. Other measures include physical examination subsidies for family members. From October 2018, we will introduce to a few areas in Japan, a new health policy under which family members of employees*2 aged 75 and older can undergo medical treatment at home. And, the company will also start providing online health advice to employees*2 aged under 40 who are at risk for lifestyle diseases.

Moreover, in autumn 2016, Suntory Beverage & Food Limited developed and introduced the “Suntory GREEN+”*3 points service linked to vending machines and smartphone applications, to support the company’s health and productivity management. A first in the vending machine industry, this service has been receiving a lot of appreciation.

*3 A point service for vending machines available in our offices, which allows employees to buy, walk, accumulate, and exchange points for FOSHU beverages.

● Suntory’s Environmental Management
Through “Mizu To Ikiru” Suntory Group’s corporate promise, the company implements water-related initiatives globally—including activities to preserve and regenerate nature—based on the Group’s common Sustainable Water Philosophy. Efforts in Japan include the Natural Water Sanctuary (forest-conservation activities for water resource cultivation) and the Suntory Mizuiku-Natural Water Education Program to convey the importance of water to future generations. Overseas, the Suntory Group works with local partners and other parties to resolve water-related challenges in each region.
