Colt recognised for outstanding transformation at Leading Lights Awards

London – WEBWIRE

Colt Technology Services has been recognised for its transformative strategy at Light Reading’s Leading Lights Awards held overnight in Austin, Texas.

At the ceremony Colt received the award for Outstanding Transformation Strategy (Service Provider), with the company’s focus on overhauling and investing in its Colt IQ Network, as well as working tirelessly to improve its customer experience over the past 12 months being some of the reasons the business was recognised.

Last year was an important one for Colt, with the company investing €200m in 2017 alone in its people, processes and customer experience initiatives.

Since the launch of its next generation Colt IQ Network in March last year, it has expanded to reach over 26,000 buildings and more than 800 data centres worldwide, with the network now providing 100G enabled Ethernet and IP connectivity, and optical services up to 9.6Tbps capacity per site.

This last year has also seen Colt’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) reach 41, with this being a nine point improvement for Colt from earlier in 2017. This score sees Colt remain the best in class Telco in the B2B sector when it comes to customer service, with the industry average NPS sitting at only four. Not only are businesses rating Colt above others, employees are also being drawn to the company with 2017 also seeing Colt being named one of Glassdoor’s top 50 places to work in the UK.

Rajiv Datta, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Colt said: “Winning this award shows that Colt’s overarching strategy is starting to gain real traction. Colt has invested heavily in its strategy and while we recognise there’s still more that we need to do, we are buoyed that the industry sees the work that has gone into our plan and how the many working parts are now driving our company forward as a whole.”

Despite this win, Colt is still committed to continuing the work it started in 2017, with the organisation remaining focused on the further deployment of its Colt IQ Network, investing in its On Demand offerings, all while striving to be the most customer oriented business in the industry.

To further power the expansion of the Colt IQ Network, Colt will be investing a further €300m in its network, people and processes in 2018, to ensure it continues the momentum it gained in 2017.

This month, the Colt IQ Network officially rolled out in North America, with further expansions planned across Europe this year.
