Expansion of Production Facilities at the Suntory Products Limited Ujigawa Plant

Suntory Products Limited, the wholly-owned group affiliate of Suntory Beverage & Food Limited (SBF), will initiate a production capacity expansion project at its Ujigawa Plant. Construction will start in summer 2018, with the company aiming to start the new line by summer 2019.

Consumer needs in recent years have diversified with changes in consumer lifestyles, including increasing health consciousness and workstyle reform. These changes are expected to drive increased interest in the water, coffee, and tea categories. Through aggressive brand investments and various initiatives*, we will further increase our focus on activities promoting Suntory Tennensui and BOSS as well as products such as Iyemon and Suntory Oolong Tea in the sugar-free tea category. The new line will reinforce our production structure and ensure the mid-term stable supply of barely tea and PET Bottled coffee products, categories projected to see future growth, for areas in western Japan.

Completion / launch (planned): August, 2019 (planned) 

Annual production capacity: Approx. 10 million cases (in increased production), Increase from approx. 27 to 30 million cases in total factory base

Primary compatible products: GREEN DAKARA Yasashii Mugicha, Craft BOSS, etc.
