Can your family stand the test of time?

Can your family stand the test of time? Not everyone can do it, but a remarkable woman single-handedly made her family immortal by making their stories transcend throughout the years. JoAnn Hill’s book entitled, Yet Another Fallen Star, is the tale of Emily and her family’s life that is interesting that it will linger in the mind and hearts of the readers for a long time.

The story spans 135 years of family history that stood against a backdrop of social changes. It started with Emily’s life chronicle and continued to tell the story of her children, her grandchildren and their extended family.

Everything started in 1874 when little Emily was born into the Roberts’ home. And right at that moment, she became the foundation of their family. When she came of age, she was the breadwinner and everyone depended on her. Outside the house, Emily is well loved by the people around her. She is everyone’s friend and she is an exceptional listener. Eventually, she made her own family and the story continues as they discover their strengths and weaknesses. They have also faced a lot of challenges and choices with both serious and hilarious consequences.

The story is so good that a lot of readers gave several positive reviews of the book. According to Ken Brimhall, a cross-cultural fiction writer, “I can read a book, even a long one, in a week’s time, but in the case of JoAnn L. Hill’s Yet Another Fallen Star, I didn’t want to. This ebook was like an old friend ready to accompany me over an open fire, or raising me up when I was low. I found myself not wanting it to end. It is the story of The Far West, USA, over a hundred and some odd years through the eyes of a sympathetic, poetic chronicler laying open the lives of the Robert’s family. Be not cajoled, my friends. Yet Another Falling Star is an unembellished tale that details an earthquake, failed marriages, and the attack on Pearl Harbor. And yet, the light of love and family loyalty shines through. As the chronicler writes, “No one ever died in Vince’s world. They kicked the bucket, cashed it in, or bit the dust.”

Moreover, another review in Amazon.com written by Kristi Watson  reflects the fascinating development of the plot. “As the different generations unfold so does the language of this beautifully written book. I laughed as her son describes seeing the first car in Colorado and later with his own escapades on a motorcycle. Each character has their own passion for life and sometimes insurmountable battles. Don’t miss this book”, she wrote.

So, if you enjoy a great family story written in the words that can touch your heart, then you have to read Yet Another Fallen Star. Once you do, your afternoon read will never be the same again.
