Memphis, TN Indie Rock band, The Passport, has announced the release of their debut album, “Memories”, available February 20th, 2015, on iTunes and anywhere you can buy or stream music today.
Although our band was just formed last year, we are quickly building a loyal fan base. Because we write our songs based on our life experiences, fans easily connect with the messages our music delivers. Memphis, TN, January 30, 2015 – The Passport, the Memphis-based band never fails to deliver with music that invades your heart and changes your life forever by connecting to the deepest part of your soul. Their debut album, “Memories”, doesn’t disappoint and leaves you wanting more.
A lifetime in the making, Memories was inspired by the experiences of all five band members. Life’s triumphs balanced with the pitfalls of being human inspired the variety of songs, from roots with surf-rock vibes to rock-n-roll, high-energy tunes.
The album showcases The Passport’s unified and balanced sound that pulsates with interwoven instrumentals and vocal melodies. The first track of the record, “Reruns” comes from the desire to go back and relive the “good times”. With beachy, West Coast guitar riffs and an up-tempo feel, the song evokes images of people who are bored with their nine-to-five jobs. The message is that good memories with great friends is priceless.
The Passport released its first single, “Trigger”, last August. “Trigger” delivers with ambient, reverb-covered guitar tones and takes the listener to a place we’ve all been, where we try to balance the promises we’ve made without falling down or falling back into old habits. “Trigger” is available on iTunes and anywhere you can buy or stream music today.
