“I wish there were more stars! Food and the Friars is probably the best cookbook I have ever read. It is easy to follow and the recipes come out homemade extraordinaire!! Whether it is a main meal or one of the sinfully delicious desserts I get so many compliments it just makes me want to set up the next dinner party or family function! When was the last time you made homemade mayo? I never even thought to try this until I got Food and the Friars. Do you know how awesome it is to tell your guests, I made the mayo myself, so it’s fresh. Now I don’t want you walking away with homemade mayo as the best recipe in the book, it just happens to be one that your guests aren’t used to seeing, There are so many scrumptious, clean plate, more please recipes I can’t even begin to list them all. Cooking is no longer a chore.. it is fun and exciting! So stop reading this review and buy Food and the Friars! You will be amazed!”  – J.C.

“I just received my copy of Family, Food and the Friars! Wow! VERY impressive! There is something for everyone! Every basic recipe is in there: Chicken Stock; Marinara Sauce; Vodka Sauce; Meat Sauce; Pesto; Meatballs; Risotto, etc., etc. And there are variations of the basics that are simple and delicious! I’m Italian and have been cooking all my life (a looong time) but there are tips and hints that I didn’t know! For the beginner cook, this book is a gold mine! Perfect for anyone moving into their first apartment, going off to college, or just looking for simple, basic instructions for some of the world’s most delicious foods: Soups; Pizza; Calzone; Osso Buco; Gnocchi; Chili; Stew; Pollo Estivo; Stuffed Calamari; Filet of Sole and then Tiramisu; Biscotti, Italian Cheesecake; Pie Crust......You can get lost in this book! Many of the recipes have little variations that give them a new twist. The recipes are “clean” with basic ingredients you probably already have at home! This is not a cookbook where you will use a couple of the recipes. You’ll use just about ALL of them! Definitely peek inside - You’ll quickly agree.” – “Non-Fiction Fan”
