Atrion Experts to Be Panelists at Risk Managers Forum 2014

Warwick, R.I. – WEBWIRE

Risk is a principal concern for everyone in the banking industry, and cloud computing is opening up new areas to cover for the risk “point-person” in all institutions. Many are still in a haze about this rapidly-growing technology. To address this, the Massachusetts Bankers Association is holding the final session in the Risk Managers Forum 2014, titled “Cloud Computing.....Safe, Secure or Not?” on October 10th, 2014 at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, in Marlborough MA, and two Atrion subject matter experts were selected and given the exclusive honor to speak at the forum.

Alan Silverman, a Senior Technical Director at Atrion specializing in cloud and data center technologies, and Josh King, a Technical Director at Atrion specializing in security will participate in the panel to provide direction to bankers currently evaluating cloud computing, and share their vision, strategy, and opinion on the future of these technologies.

MBA’s Risk Managers Forum allows for industry peers to connect, discuss, and identify common issues, techniques, challenges, and solutions. Collective success is the goal. “With the amount of cloud-based applications organizations are using today, the number of safety and security compliances specifically for banks to keep track of are increasing tremendously, and risk is growing alongside them” said Josh King. “The opportunity to speak at MBA’s Risk Managers Forum will hopefully allow us to clear up some of the notions, security concerns, and difficulties implementing cloud computing” King added.

David Sidon, CPA, principal of The Navis Group will be facilitating the Risk Managers Forum, and other panelists include: Michael J. Vitti, Examiner, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Matthew J. Putvinski, Director – IT Assurance and Security Services, Wolf and Company, P.C., Boston, and Sari Stern Greene, President, Sage Data Security, Portland, ME.
