Very nice story, well written and illustrated. This is my first children’s Kindle book that my nephew actually wants to hear before bed again and again. Overall great book!

Sweet Pete is an adorable book and a very cute story about a young bunny and his magical cookie jar making it a fun bedtime read for baby-3 years. The pictures are great, too. Thanks!

The ebook is available for free through the Kindle store and includes an audio book version with sound effects. Written for the baby-3-year old audience, the book tells the story of a bunny named Pete who loves sweets above all else, much to the dismay of his parents. During the story, Pete is tempted by a huge table of delicious desserts and yummy candies. He has his every wish granted for more and more delectable treats by a magic jar. The fun ends, however, when he learns his lesson the hard way. Toddlers will identify quickly with the bunny’s plight and understand it is wiser to eat fewer sweets.

Maria Alony is a writer, educator, and instructor of literature and the Hebrew language. She is a member of the Society of children’s book writers & illustrators. “My children’s book is inspired by my wonderful two-year old son, fairy tales, and the children I teach.” Using her classroom experience and personal knowledge, Alony aims to help children cope with the common problem of unhealthy eating. She hopes the book will enrich their imaginations and entertain them with Pete’s charming story!
