The Sundeck Hotel hosts the Annual Sundeck Cup

The Perisher Valley is home to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest Ski field. Operating with 4 separate villages, Blue Cow, Guthega, Smiggin Holes and Perisher Valley. The Sundeck Hotel also host the “Sundeck Cup”, a cross country race run under handicap conditions with all proceeds going to the “XC Towards 2014” Development Fund. This is a popular cross country race run each year since 2005. The competition is fierce and fun every year and this year is shaping up to be the same. The race will be held on Thursday 8th August starting at 11am. The 7.5 km run is an Open to freestyle and classical style racers.

There are 48 Ski lifts operating in Perisher Valley during the peak of the ski season July - August and what seems like an unlimited number of ski runs. The valley is suitable for skiers of all skill levels which makes it ideal for the entire family.

After a hard day on the slopes skiers love the hearty meals at the Sundeck hotel and enjoying a drink at the bar. The relaxed lodge style accommodation is great for guests to interact with each other and share their day’s skiing stories while listening to the live music presented nightly, before retiring to their rooms to get ready to enjoy it all again the following day.
