STIRLNG Launches Service to Disrupt the “Cocktails at Home” Market

STIRLING (www.stirlingcocktails.com) has launched the first curated-set of ingredients to make bartender-inspired cocktails at home.  Taking a page from popular food start-ups Blue Apron and Plated, STIRLING delivers pre-portioned ingredients like bitters and syrups with the click of a mouse.
 
Founded by a team of Harvard Business School students, STIRLING is targeting the $20 billion that Americans spend on spirits each year.  Co-Founder Dave West says “STIRLING was inspired by a simple idea: people want to make the cocktails from their favorite bars, but don’t know how.  We change that, delivering the exact ingredients and step-by-step instructions.”
 
Dave West also said, “We know making a great cocktail is much harder than it sounds.  That’s why we’ve been working with renowned mixologist, Jonathan Pogash, to make our cocktails both delicious and simple.”
 
With the help of Jonathan Pogash, the self-proclaimed “cocktail guru” (www.thecocktailguru.com), STILING has stumbled on a truly unique opportunity.  While making cocktails at home was once an exhausting process, including finding a recipe and all the specialty bitters and syrups, STIRLING has made it easy and fun.
 
STIRLING Co-Founder Ryan Miller also says “What makes STIRLING different is that we source ingredients directly from suppliers.  That means our ‘cocktail box’ is less expensive than the sum of all the ingredients at retail.”
 
With interest building in the Boston-area, STIRLING is excited to introduce its first four cocktail boxes, including “The Perfect Storm” for rum, “The Sweet Chattahoochee” for gin, and the “Berry Splash” for champagne.
