(Los Angeles)---On February 22 the GMA Foundation welcomed seven new members into the Gospel Hall of Fame. The host site for this historic event was Trinity Music City, USA in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Trinity Music City, which sits 18 miles north of Nashville, is owned by the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world’s largest religious network.

“Trinity Music City is known for offering great inspirational programming and concert events, so hosting the Gospel Music Hall of Fame is in keeping with this tradition,” declares Paul Crouch Jr., Vice President of Administration for TBN.

In addition to providing the facilities for Gospel Hall of Fame gala, TBN has the first initial broadcast rights to the event. An hour long broadcast of the Gospel Hall of Fame will air on TBN on March 5 at 3 pm (PST).

The seven inductees into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame were Walter Hawkins, Mylon Le Fevre, Evie Tornquist, The Lewis Family, Ron Huff, Don Light and Lou Hildreth. Performers at the ceremony included bluegrass act the Isaacs, gospel pianist and composer Richard Smallwood, and Christian rock acts Newsboys and Rebecca St. James. Others making an appearance included Amy Grant, CeCe Winans, and The Oak Ridge Boys. Comedian Chonda Pierce hosted the program.

“It was a great night for Gospel music and a great night for TBN,” says Crouch.

The Gospel Hall of Fame special is just one of many exclusive and original programs featured on TBN. There are a variety of other faith-based programs on TBN including children shows, movies, inspirational church services, music videos, concerts, news programs and informative talk shows. TBN’s programs have help make the network America’s most watched faith channel. TBN is available to 92% of all U.S. households.
