Confio to Host Webinar on Alternatives to Oracle OEM Database Performance Tools

Boulder, Colo., Nov. 12, 2012 – This week Confio Software will host a free, live webinar on best practices to avoid the difficulty of finding and resolving Oracle database problems using only OEM Performance Packs. In this webinar, called “Go Beyond OEM: Alternative Oracle Performance Tools and Techniques,” attendees will learn about a simple approach for quickly finding and resolving Oracle database problems by utilizing response time analysis.
 
“The number one question we get from Oracle DBAs is ‘how is Ignite different from OEM?’” said Dean Richards, Confio’s senior Oracle database administrator and webinar presenter. “The fact is 90 percent of our Oracle customers use both Ignite and OEM SQL Diagnostic and Tuning Packs. Richards will host the webinar and engage users with real-life case studies to demonstrate the techniques.  His in-depth knowledge of both OEM and Ignite will provide valuable insight for Oracle DBAs attending this event.
 
Richards has over 20 years of performance tuning, implementation, and strategic database architecting experience. Richards formerly served as a technical director for Oracle Corporation, managing and performing consulting work on several key accounts.
