Online Beer Pong Drinking Game Released

Online Beer Pong was released to the public today by DrinkingGames.ME, marking the second in a line of free playable online drinking games developed by the Vermont based company.

A video drinking game called Online Beer Pong was officially launched by DrinkingGames.ME today - just in time for the weekend and the long fall and winter seasons ahead.  The game, which is an e-version of the traditional game Beer Pong or Beirut, pits two teams against each other in a true drinking game that requires good timing and fast reflexes.

For those who are familiar with the original version beer pong, the basic premise of Online Beer Pong is the same: shoot a ping pong ball into your opponent’s cups in order to make them drink all of the beer in their cups and thus lose the game due to intoxication, poor throwing skills, bad luck or all of the above.

Online Beer Pong is the same principle minus all the mess.  Players from each team take turns shooting (by using the spacebar) a ping pong ball into their opponent’s cups, hoping to sink all 4 shots they get each turn.  Just like the real game, Online Beer Pong is relatively simple but a lot of fun, says Rachel Clark, PR Officer for the company:

“The best drinking games are the easy ones, and being that traditional beer pong is perhaps the most popular of all drinking and beer games, we decided to make an easy electronic version of it so that people without all the accessories can play whenever they want.”

Online Beer Pong is the second video drinking game produced by the company in as many months, with the introduction to the line of games beginning with last month’s Drunk Mario - a wild romp through a drunken Super Mario Bros-esque landscape with the ultimate mission of trying to free an intoxicated prostitute from jail.

But despite the seeming encouragement of excessive consumption of alcohol, website founder Russ Hudson says that’s not the case;

“We are adamant that people understand their own limits and drink responsibly, or not drink at all.  Just like any drinking game, Online Beer Pong can be played by taking sips of beer or wine, or by using juice or water or nothing at all.  Safe and legal alcohol consumption is our insistent policy and that doesn’t preclude having fun, which at the end of the day is what our site is all about.”

Hudson indicated other online drinking games are currently in development, including a version of the classic Kings drinking game, and a handful of scripted, proprietary games that will be released by the end of the year.

Online Beer Pong is free to play on the following page of the company’s website: http://drinkinggames.me/beer-pong/
DrinkingGames.ME is a Vermont based company featuring books and articles on drinking games, drinking games instructions sheets and several playable online drinking games like Online Beer Pong and Drunk Mario.  To preview upcoming releases of other drinking games, to order a press kit or to schedule an interview with Russ Hudson, use the site’s contact form at: http://drinkinggames.me/contact/, or call 1-802-738-0775.
