Downtown Doral park opens in time for the end of summer
DORAL – (August 3, 2012) - Downtown Doral Park opened on July 27 just in time for the final weeks of summer. The three-acre public park in Downtown Doral was developed by CM Doral Development Company, a joint venture between investors advised by JP Morgan Asset Management and Codina Partners, a real estate investment and development firm led by Armando Codina.
The park opened in conjunction with the new Doral Government Center, a 60,000 square-foot development located directly across from the park. The park includes lush landscaping, picnic tables and two play structures. An open-air pavilion and benches will be added at a later date. Armando Codina, chairman and CEO of Codina Partners, donated the property in lieu of the impact fees from the development of the Doral Government Center. The donation exceeds $4 million.

The mixed-use development will feature thousands of residential units and more than one million square feet of commercial space and an elementary school. The community will also feature landscaped medians and a residential boulevard lined with townhouses complemented by beautiful landscaping, fountains and shade pavilions.
