Dassault Systèmes Announces CAAV5 Software Partnership with Theorem Solutions

Theorem to develop and market specialized V5 applications aimed at 3D multi-CAD imports

Paris, France – June 28, 2006 – Dassault Systèmes (DS) (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced that Theorem Solutions, a world leader in CAD/CAM product data exchange and a member of the DS CAA V5 (Component Application Architecture) development program, has been upgraded to a CAAV5 Software Partner.

Dassault Systèmes delivers a robust solution with V5, enabling the import and export of data on the International Standards IGES and STEP, based on a unique set of CAA V5 APIs. This new customized CAA V5 platform for data exchange is the common and unique platform for DS and its partners, enabling partners to control and selectively optimize imported data, and improving quality and ease of use within V5 PLM applications. Theorem Solutions will complement these products by providing the market with an easy and powerful access to native non-V5 CAD data.

Through the new software development partnership agreement, Theorem will deliver native V5 integration of data (for parts and assemblies) inside a V5 session, leveraging the CAA V5 APIs and infrastructure for data quality and consistency. The imported data can be used with CATIA ‘Design in context’, ENOVIA ‘Digital Mock-up’, DELMIA ‘Digital Manufacturing, and SIMULIA ‘Engineering Quality,’ with the quality and compliancy of the imported data ensured to V5 standards.

As with existing DS Multi-Cad products, customers will be able to create a Digital Mock-Up definition simultaneously including V5 and non-V5 data definition, with either exact or faceted parts representation. Imported parts and product structure referenced within this Digital Mock-up can be synchronized with 3D geometry updated definition, where parts or product structure have been modified.
