White Space Celebrates Statewide Open House Day

New Haven, CT – White Space, a fine art gallery, located at 1020 Chapel Street 2 nd floor, today announced plans to participate in Connecticut Open House Day-Connecticut’s first unified celebration of the state’s fascinating world of art, history, film and tourism. This exciting statewide event, slated for Saturday, June 10, 2006 , is designed to broaden awareness of Connecticut ’s exceptional cultural and tourism assets among Nutmeggers, and to encourage the m to share the ir newfound discoveries with visiting family and friends. White Space Gallery will provide a variety of exciting incentives and programs to state residents during this Free Connecticut Open House Day, including:

From June 5 thru July 22 nd, White Space Gallery will be featuring surreal, edgy, abstract and contemporary art in the show entitled “White Heat.” The show will spotlight a unique and eclectic blend of local and international artists as well as works by Connecticut born, Resident Artist Denise Parri and renowned Connecticut Sculptor Craig Frederick. White Space Gallery is also the home of “The Final Works of Salvador Dali”. This unique collection is the “Final Edition of hand-signed limited edition lithographs” and has been au the nticated by Dali archivist Albert Field. These extraordinary renderings will be featured along with newly acquired rare Dali lithographs in addition to Rare Colt Commissioned Dali sculptures.

Located amidst Chapel Street ’s fine retailers, and between two of New Haven ’s cultural treasures, the Yale Art Gallery and the British Art Center , White Space Gallery has found the perfect home and New Haven has a gallery where fine art thrives.

To qualify for any Open House Day Special, at least one person in each visiting group must show a valid Connecticut driver’s license. The purpose of the value-added offerings, according to White Space Gallery’s Marketing coordinator, Marie Accrino, is to “encourage Connecticut citizens to rediscover, or experience for the first time, the wealth of historic structures, art galleries, the aters, museums, and interesting, educational and tourism attractions that our state has to offer. By helping residents better appreciate the abundance of cultural and tourism gems that exist right outside the ir backdoors, we’re inviting the m to share all that Connecticut has to offer with visiting family and friends”.

White Space Gallery is one of more than 150 cultural and tourism organizations throughout Connecticut who have joined toge the r to pay tribute to the state’s colorful heritage and diverse properties.
