Black Box Social Media Releases First Article in New Courses in Online Marketing Series

(2/28/2012 - Austin, Texas) Black Box Social Media LLC, a social media marketing firm that focuses on utilizing web 2.0 solutions in order to increase brand awareness and revenues for its customers, announced today that it is releasing it’s first article in its new series ’Courses in Online Marketing’ which will focus on Pinterest.

“The purpose of our ’Courses in Online Marketing’ series is to provide social media tools for business for those new folks seeking social media training or looking for social media marketing courses,” says Black Box Social Media Co-Founder Nick Bridges.  

Social media marketing is growing in popularity.  By the end of 2012, Facebook is projected to climb to more than 1 billion users.  YouTube has more than 3 billion views per day.  Google+ reached 100 million members in just 7 months.  And Pinterest may grow faster than them all.

Pinterest is an ’online coarkboard’ where people can create ’boards’ and ’pin’ pictures of interest to their boards for others to see, comment, like and share.

“A picture is worth a 1000 words,” says Co-Founder Curt Maly.  “However, companies are more inclined to use a 1000 words to involve their customers than they are using pictures.  Those companies who are able to create and implement strategies that best use pictures to represent their brand will have great success on Pinterest.”
