ROCHESTER, N.Y.-- As a rule, Hall-of-Famers are rock stars or sports legends, but this week, Xerox Corporation (NYSE:XRX) became one for a different sort of success: customer service.

Xerox has earned a coveted spot in in the J.D. Power and Associates Certified Technology Service & Support (CTSS) Hall of Fame.

“This is the highest industry testament that we are meeting our customer’s needs,” said Bill Steenburgh, senior vice president of Xerox Services. “We strive to exceed expectations and this honor validates the impressive commitment of our people.”

Xerox was named to the Hall of Fame after achieving five consecutive years of certification in the J.D. Power and Associates CTSS program, one of the customer service industry’s most prestigious recognitions. It is awarded annually to technology companies that meet or exceed its standard for technology service and support. In addition to auditing companies for compliance with a comprehensive set of criteria, the CTSS program includes a J.D. Power and Associates customer satisfaction survey to validate the customers’ perception of service quality.

“Five consecutive years of recognition from TSIA and J.D. Power and Associates for Xerox’s excellence in technical support is exemplary for our industry, and is what lands Xerox in the hall of fame,” said Thomas W. Pridham, senior vice president and general manager, Organizational Development Services, TSIA.

More than 50 industry-leading companies contribute to the development of the program’s certification standards, including best practices for service strategy, operations, promotion, assisted and non-assisted support, depot and field service, and channel and outsource partner service.
