Get bestselling ringtones free with every purchase of the Sony 512MB Memory Stick Micro (M2)

Paris, - Sony Europe’s Recording Media & Energy (RME) division today announced that customers can download five different ringtones from the Sony BMG music catalogue free with every purchase of a 512MB Sony Memory Stick Micro (M2). Customers choose from a list of 24 most-wanted ringtones which they download to personalise their mobile phone to suit their mood.


The ultra-small ‘M2’ memory card, which is currently available from Sony with capacities of up to 1GB, will meet the increasing expectations of mobile phone users by providing high capacity storage for mobile content such as ringtones, pictures and music videos on compact, multifunctional devices. The ‘M2’ also comes with an adaptor the size of the standard Memory Stick, enabling users to transfer their personal data from their mobile phones to other Memory Stick PRO compatible devices. Sony Ericsson have recently launched a number of mobile phones compatible with the ‘M2’, including the versatile Z530i clamshell model.


To receive their five free ringtones, customers simply need to activate their mobile phone’s WAP connection and then enter their unique promotional code on the Sony BMG Music Entertainment official website (http://www.sonybmg.fr/M2). Once complete, Sony will send an SMS to allow the user to download the selected ringtones.


The promotion is available in 22 countries* and runs until the 30th June 2006.

* Countries taking part in the promotion are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherland, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and Ukraine.
