Creedmoor Electronics Recycling Plant Ready for Enforcement of State Mandate on Electronics

Creedmoor, NC – June 16, 2011. Just as a new North Carolina state mandate (Session Law 2010-67) regarding electronics recycling begins enforcement on July 1, 2011, Metech Recycling (www.metechrecycling.com) expands its operations in Creedmoor to serve the region. The new state mandate requires all electronics and computer equipment, including monitors, printers, scanners and peripherals such as mice and keyboards, to be recycled.

The volume of electronic waste has grown exponentially over the past decade. Most electronic waste contains lead, mercury, and other toxic substances.
