Mumpreneur Lisa Oliver Garners The Six Figure Mentors’ “Member of The Month” Award

APril 13, 2011 – it has been announced that online marketer and business mum, Lisa Oliver, has won the prestigious title of Member of the Month for March with The Six Figure Mentors - a unique internet marketing training and education platform for individuals and small businesses.

For some women, choosing between motherhood and a successful career can be a big dilemma. That is not the case for Lisa Oliver. As a mother of two, Lisa is able to strike a balance between her parenting duties and her responsibilities as a home-based internet entrepreneur.

Lisa’s decision to start a home-based online business stemmed from her need to take care of her young children and generate a stable income after her husband lost his job.

“It made me realise that we were a bit too reliant on his income from an employer, which could (and did) just disappear in a heartbeat,” said Lisa.

Prior to her online ventures, Lisa Oliver had already been the owner of a bricks and mortar graphic design business. However, she decided to scale back after realising that her family life would suffer if she was tied to an activity that required her to work long hours and commute everyday to London.

Luckily, she found The Six Figure Mentors, an online community, education and training platform founded by Stuart Ross and Daniel Wagner, designed to help people to learn marketing and build a sustainable business using the internet. Lisa Oliver credits The Six Figure Mentors for her achievements in internet marketing. She claims that the service has helped her in achieving great work flexibility and a residual income.

“Personally I’m not a fan of all the hype in the world of internet marketing. Having fallen for quite a few product sales pitches over the past year or so which haven’t quite delivered on their promise, I’m careful about what I put my name to and recommend,” said Oliver. For her accomplishments, Lisa Oliver was awarded The Six Figure Mentors Member of the Month. This distinction is given to members who have demonstrated leadership and involvement within The Six Figure Mentors community. Lisa Oliver currently hosts one of the four weekly ’coffee call’ webinars where, over their morning coffee, other members of The Six Figure Mentors community can get their questions answered about internet marketing.

Apart from internet marketing with The Six Figure Mentors, Lisa Oliver manages to raise her children and run other businesses, including a motorhome hire business and her web design enterprise which now runs as a ’virtual digital agency’.
