BT calls on UK public to help organise, and be a guest at the other big wedding of the year

In BT’s latest Adam and Jane advert, the UK public has once again been asked to help determine the couple’s future – this time to plan their upcoming nuptials. And, for the first time, fans will also get the chance to feature in the advert itself.

In the latest instalment, which goes live today on Facebook and on TV from the 2nd March, a heavily pregnant Jane is planning the wedding when she suddenly goes into labour early. As a result, the couple don’t have time to plan their wedding. See here for the full advert: www.facebook.com/btuk.

So, the nation has been asked to help plan the wedding by voting on the dedicated Facebook page using videos showing Jane contemplating the dress, car and first dance. The options which receive the most votes will be brought to life in the next advert, which is due to be screened in April.

To say thank you to fans of the long running series, BT will select two lucky voters at random to become wedding guests. They will be invited on set for filming and will be screened as part of the final advert.

This is the second time BT has given the public the chance to shape the long running Adam and Jane storyline. In August last year, 1.6 million people voted to decide that Jane would be expecting a baby.

David James, marketing director, BT Retail Consumer, said: “This is an important moment in a much loved storyline which has been running for nearly six years. There was an overwhelming response to the pregnancy vote, and it seems only right that Adam and Jane fans should have a chance to be a part of the couple’s big day, as they finally tie the knot.”
