Agiliance RiskVision Solution Enables Continuous Compliance Reporting
Plus Integrated Exception Management Using HP Service Manager

San Jose, California – February 8, 2011 – Agiliance®, Inc., the leading independent provider of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions, today announced FirstEnergy Service Company chose Agiliance to manage compliance for North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) regulations. The Agiliance RiskVision GRC platform gives FirstEnergy the ability to manage risks, streamline its compliance reporting and documentation, and track and remedy exceptions, using a bi-directional interface with the HP Service Manager ticketing system.

Agiliance also announced integrated support of content developed by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI). Supported are NEI 08-09 Rev. 6 guidelines to produce a cyber-security plan for nuclear power reactors, plus updates on NEI 10-09 Industry Guidance Documents. Regulation 10 CFR 73.54 requires licensees and applicants to submit to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) both a cyber-security plan and an implementation schedule.

NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards specify the minimum requirements to support the reliability of the electrical system. All organizations who are involved with the North American bulk electrical network are subject to these standards. NERC CIP content is tightly mapped to the RiskVision Common Control Framework, which supports NIST SP 800-53 Information Security Controls, allowing utility companies to quickly comply with NERC regulations.

“I am extremely pleased FirstEnergy Service Company selected Agiliance RiskVision among all GRC platforms on the market,” offered Joe Fantuzzi, president and CEO at Agiliance. “Our energy customers see Agiliance as a first-to-market mover with NERC CIP, and now with NEI compliance and security integration. We will continue to invest in leading solutions for the energy & utilities industries, including risk-based security for Smart Grid projects.”
