Hearst Magazines To Host ’Arts And Culture’ Hub At Social Media Week NYC

NEW YORK, Hearst Magazines announced today that it will serve as the ‘Arts and Culture’ Content Hub host during Social Media Week New York (SMW), February 7-11 (http://socialmediaweek.org/newyork/). During that week, Hearst will curate several sessions to be held at Hearst Tower, two of which have been spearheaded by iCrossing, a global digital marketing agency owned by Hearst.

SMW is a global platform that connects people, content and conversation around emerging trends in social and mobile media. The ‘Arts and Culture’ Hub will bring together some of the leading individuals and companies in media, art, entertainment and lifestyles. Themes and topics include art, food, photography, design, fashion and luxury.

Hearst’s roster of SMW sessions include:

* ‘Social Media and Social Styling: Can the Next Rachel Zoe Be Found Online?’, Monday, Feb. 7 from noon to 2 pm/est
* ‘The Big Shift: Brands, Media and Consumers in a Real-Time World’, Monday, Feb. 7 from 3:30 – 5 pm/est]
* ‘The Celebrity Spokesperson in the Digital Age’, Wednesday, Feb. 9 from 3 – 5 pm/est
* ‘The New Food Reviewers: Is Social Media Making Us Savvy or Snarky?’, Thursday, Feb. 10 from noon – 2 pm/est (Urban Theater)
* ‘From the Good Housekeeping Research Institute Test Kitchen: Tips on How to Blog and Photograph Food’, Thursday, Feb. 10 from 3-5 pm/est (exclusive event; limited to 25 people)
* The sessions will be held on the 44th floor of Hearst Tower (with the exception of the ‘New Food Reviewers’ panel, which will be in the Urban Theater on the third floor)
